Netherlands Leprosy Relief and Liliane Foundation expand co-operation

12 October 2016

After having cooperated in Mekong region for 3 years, NLR and Liliane Foundation are now extending their co-operation to Indonesia. In Mekong the co-operation has led to establishing a new one-year training for orthopaedic shoemakers, a unique course for the whole of Southeast Asia. The first batch of graduates received their diplomas in December last year and have now started their orthopaedic workshops in Myanmar, Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries. Expanding the co-operation to Indonesia means more opportunities for joint innovative projects, making use of each other’s experience and networks.
